Our Story
Two firms, one mission
Conscious Reliability® is a specialist training service provider focused on reliability of physical assets. We represent the merger of two leading specialist firms — CMMI of Puerto Rico, USA and Conscious Asset of Canada — and their lead consultants, Jesus Sifonte and James Reyes-Picknell.
After discovering how much we had in common, we decided to work together. The book came first. We re-engineered Reliability Centered Maintenance for a demanding, data-driven business climate. Then we joined forces to grow a business that meets a market that is under-served and poorly served.

Jesus Sifonte
Founder & CEO
Jesús R. Sifonte, BSME, MMRE, PE, CMRP is the founder and President of PdMtech of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, USA. He provides consulting in Condition Based Maintenance certification and implementation, RCM and reliability analysis teaching, mentoring and implementation.
He is a licensed Professional Engineer, ASNT-TC-1A Level III vibration analyst, Member of the Institute of Asset Management and ASME, and a CMRP. He holds a BSME from the University of Puerto Rico and an MMRE from Monash University (Australia), with extensive hands-on experience in engineering, maintenance management, predictive maintenance and reliability consulting.

James Reyes-Picknell
Founder & President
James V Reyes-Picknell, BASc, CMC., P.Eng., CMRP, CAMA., is the founder and President of Conscious Asset Management of Barrie, Ontario, Canada. He advises on Physical Asset Management strategy, process improvement, executive coaching, change management and client advisory.
He is a licensed Professional Engineer, certified RCM2 practitioner, Member of the Institute of Asset Management, and an honours graduate of the University of Toronto in Mechanical Engineering, with studies at the Royal Naval Engineering College (UK), TUNS and Dalhousie. He brings decades of hands-on experience in engineering, operations, maintenance management, consulting and change management.
